Low-income Massachusetts residents who need help paying for healthy food for their families or need assistance after a financial setback may qualify for temporary food and/or cash assistance programs to improve the quality of their lives.

More adults now find themselves needing to return to the classroom on a less than full-time basis. The continuous increase in college costs is also requiring more students to reconsider their enrollment plans and to look at part-time programs as viable alternatives. The Commonwealth has recognized the above needs and established the Part Time-Grant program to serve as a bridge between higher education opportunities and those segments of the Massachusetts population.
While taking courses and attending college is important for a professional career, many students are unable to afford the tuition that a great deal of colleges require. College tuition and fees for books and services have increased substantially in recent years.
With the added repercussions of a weak economy, many students are opting to find jobs and disregard college. The good news is that many schools and programs in Massachusetts offer scholarships and grants to help offset the expensive costs of tuition.
MSPCC provided direct services to more than 22,000 children, adults, and families through: Adoption and Foster Care Support Behavioral Health Services Child Welfare Programs Family Counseling Parent and Family Support Services.
MSPCC supports teen and young adult parents beginning at pregnancy. Home visitors offer encouragement and education to parents through each stage of pregnancy and early childhood development.

The (MS)2 program was founded in 1977 to address the compelling need to cultivate the mathematical and scientific abilities of economically disadvantaged African American, Latino, and Native American high school students from targeted cities and communities across the United States. In a residential setting on the historic Phillips Academy campus, the three-summer program challenges students intellectually and exposes them to peers and educators with diverse backgrounds, life experiences, and aspirations. This competitive and rigorous program is FREE of charge for all students selected.

The Affordable Care Act (ACA) was signed into law by President Obama in 2010 to make sure that Americans are able to have affordable health insurance coverage. One part of the ACA focuses specifically on youth who were formerly in foster care. Young adults who were in foster care at age 18, or aged out of foster care at 19, may be eligible to receive Medicaid coverage until they are 26.

The mission of My Life My Choice is to prevent the commercial sexual exploitation of adolescents through survivor-led programs that “educate” and empower youth to find their voice and create a positive life path while working to eliminate the violence and victimization of sexual exploitation.
Our free educational programs offer resources, insights, coping skills, and genuine support for families and those in recovery. Our volunteers who run our educational offerings strive to better equip the class participants with the knowledge and skills.
All of our programs are taught by peers; people who have lived the journey and can relate on a personal level to those seeking knowledge and comfort. These volunteers are trained by NAMI Mass according to the best practices instituted by NAMI National.

The One Family Scholars program is a comprehensive college scholarship program for low-income single parents who are earning Associate’s or Bachelor’s degrees in Massachusetts. In addition to financial support, we provide coaching and counselling to help Scholars throughout college and into their career.
The Open and Affirming Coalition of the United Church of Christ advocates for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community in the UCC, and equips UCC congregations to become effective witnesses to Christ's extravagant welcome.Open and Affirming" (ONA) is a movement of more than 1,200 churches that welcome lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) members. Nearly 250,000 members of the United Church of Christ belong to ONA churches—and our movement is growing.
Operation A.B.L.E. (Ability Based on LongExperience) serves as an employment and training resource for an economically, occupationally, and racially-diverse population of job seekers age 45 and older.
Parent Support Groups are free, confidential, and anonymous. These groups serve as a safe place for parents to express frustrations and concerns about their children and families and get advice from other parents who understand.
