Lawyers in CPCS’s Children and Family Law Division (CAFL) represent children and parents in cases in which the Department of Children and Families (DCF) removes children from their homes because of claims of neglect or abuse. CAFL also provides lawyers to children and parents in child requiring assistance (CRA) cases and some private guardianship cases.
Parenting Education and Support Programs help parents with young children enhance the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to be the best parents they can be. Group-based series are led by trained professionals and provide opportunities for parents to learn new skills, connect with peers, and receive information and resources.
Groups are accessible and held in child-friendly spaces, such as elementary schools and childcare centers.

College Parents of America provides members with the advantages of valuable benefits and advocacy that protect and maximize their family's college investment and the resources to support their student's achievement.
Boston-area students planning for higher education can come to a College Planning Center—located in Boston, Brockton, and Chelsea—for guidance on choosing a college, applying for financial aid and scholarships, managing money, and choosing a major or a career. The number of foster care scholarships continues to grow, and the early part of the century saw several states codify new assistance and tuition waiver programs for foster kids and adoptees.
Public and private scholarships originate at the state and federal levels, providing access to college for former foster children. Each program employs unique application protocols, so specifics are best handled by individual program administrators and campus financial aid offices.
We work with the Hancock Courts Housing Project in Lawrence to provide an after-school program and summer program called Manos Felices.
Services include adult education, parenting resources including day care and head start, consumer services, food and clothing, fuel and energy, housing and shelter, income tax assistance, and scholarships.
Programs serve the following areas: Amesbury, Boxford, Georgetown, Groveland, Haverhill, Merrimac, Newbury, Newburyport, Rowley, Salisbury, and West Newbury.
We serve people who are homeless, facing foreclosure or eviction people, or ready to purchase a home or launch a small business. Provides support and services for low-income people. Call for services and addresses.

COMPASS offers a community-based jobs program for homeless parents. COMPASS structures technical training, internships, and employment partnerships that are best suited to local transitional jobs that track toward self-sufficiency careers and a brighter future for families. The program runs in ongoing cycles and offers five different programming “tracks" – designed to specifically meet a parent's employment training and job placement needs.
We work to give consumers the information they need to understand the terms of their agreements with financial companies. We are working to make regulations and guidance as clear and streamlined as possible so providers of consumer financial products and services can follow the rules on their own.

Fenway also provides resources, information, and educational services to LGBT-headed families. We hold educational presentations where parents can network. We offer adoption resources, legal referrals, surrogacy resources and other information for prospective LGBT parents.
