Western Massachusetts Planning Meeting

The Mass Network of Foster Care Alumni (MassNFCA) is hosting a Western Massachusetts planning meeting at the Chicopee Public Library!

Space is limited to 25 attendees for this planning event. RSVP is required. Registration will close when capacity for the event has been met.

PLANNING EVENT FOR CURRENT AND/OR FORMER FOSTER YOUTH AND ALLIES:

You are a 'current and or former foster youth' if you said YES to the following questions:

1. Were you in 'foster care' in ANY US state or country in the world for ANY period of time? (who are foster care alumni?)
2. Did you experience any of the following - foster homes, group care settings, kinship care (AKA raised by a family member) ---- adoption, guardianship or reunification (AKA returning home after foster care) following your time in out of home placement, continuation with DCF after 18?

Friends of Foster Care (Allies) are welcome to attend. Current and/or former foster youth below the age of 18 are welcome to attend with an adult.

CHILDREN at this event: A parent or guardian must accompany children under the age of 18 at MassNFCA Events.

RSVP is required! There is no cost to attend this event! Dinner will be provided!

PLANNING EVENT AGENDA:

6:00 PM - Ice Breaker and Introductions

6:15 PM - Review and discuss data and feedback from MassNFCA Spring 2019 meetup events in Western MA

7:00 - 8:00 PM - Brainstorm Plan for Fall 2019 and Spring 2020 Events in Western MA based upon considerations related to budget, previous statistics and feedback from members and new ideas.

8:00 - 8:45 PM - Create workplan based on volunteers willing to step forward in the meeting
