Do you have a project or goal you're working on either personally or professionally? Computers are available for use and dinner will be provided. Just bring yourself!
Here are some ideas/examples that members will be doing as part of project night:
- Working on a resume
- Tackling personal tasks such as researching volunteer/employment opportunities
We have a great space with great support thanks to the Microsoft Store at the Prudential.
We are here for you! If you don't have a project and just want to network that's great too!
'Foster Care Alumni' are people who can answer 'yes' to the following questions:
1. Are you 18 - 108?
2. Did you experience 'foster care' for any period of time in any US state or country in the world?
NOTE: 'Foster Care' means a government or a social service agency removes a person from the care of their biological parents of origin and places them in a variety of settings which can include foster homes, group care and kinship care (aka other family members). Foster care alumni may also have been reunified (aka return home), be guardianed or adopted following time in foster care or continue with DCF after the age of 18.
Friends of foster care are welcome if they're attending with a foster care alum and/or helping an alum attend by providing transportation and/or helping us with set up or break down of the event.
