Make guacamole together on zoom! Snack on chips and guac while you learn how to sprout the remaining avocado seed into a small tree.

Join us if you:

  1. Age 16+ and live or work in Massachusetts. You are currently or have previously been in 'foster care' for any period of time in any sovereign nation, country or territory in the world (includes voluntary with DCF)
  2. Are an ally who is attending with someone who meets this criteria who has experienced foster careWhat we'll learn:

About this snacking and planting event:

First we will make guacamole together on zoom with the items provided by MassNFCA. Bring your favorite spices and share the secret to your favorite guac! Participants will receive a kit from MassNFCA. The kit will contain the following items which participants will use for creating guacamole together on zoom. Guacamole items include avocados, tomato, onion, lime and a bag of chips.

After we make the guacamole together participants will use the additional items provided in the kit from MassNFCA to learn how to sprout the remaining avocado seed in hopes of growing a small Avocado tree over time. The items participants will use for sprouting the seed that will be includedin this kit include, a small jar, toothpicks, planter and soil. Participants will recieve a handout that explains the sprouting process.

Once registered for this event MassNFCA will schedule a delivery of supplies you'll need to participate in this event!

15 Kits Available total - Registration closes by April 16th. If we run out of kits, you can continue to register, however you'll need to purchase your own materials. You'll receive an e-mail notifying you of whether you registered in time to receive a kit.
